[Pollodelmar] Pollo Del Mar May shows - INSECT SURFERS!

Hi Pollo fans,
Next Sunday, May 15, Pollo del Mar returns for our 8th appearance at the Bay to 
Breakers Race in San Francisco. The music usually starts around 8AM and we will 
play for about 2 hours. I know it's early, but if you come, I guarantee you will 
get an eyeful! Bring a camera... Try to take BART (or bike) and be aware that 
the race screws up traffic through the city. (We will be at the corner of Hayes, 
Fell and Market streets.)

The following Sunday, May 22 we return to Surf Sundays at The Hotel Utah with 
L.A.'s The Insect Surfers. The Insects have always been a huge inspiration to 
us, and their shows are always a blast. They will have a new "Best Of / 
Rarities" CD for sale. Opening the show are The Pyronauts. The Hotel Utah is at 
Fourth & Bryant in San Francisco. The baseball game starts at 5 that day so 
there will be plenty of free parking, and the Hotel Utah will have their BBQ 
going. Doors at 2, show at 3 in the afternoon. The Insects have two other NorCal

On May 29, Thee Parkside in San Francisco is cooking up a Luau BBQ. They promise 
  "fruity drinks, maybe even some burlesque dancers and bunch of 
surf/garage/gogo bands" - including PDM, The Coppertones and a band from San 
Diego I have wanted to see called Monster from Mars. I am not sure what time we 
go on, please check the Pollo gigs page for more details.

Coming up in June, a 4 band surf show at The Brookdale Lodge; the Second Battle 
of the Bands (featuring Rick Escobar of the Woodies(!) and 12 surf bands); and a 
special "Guitar Player Magazine Presents" show at the Boom Boom Room in SF with 
SLACKTONE!
